License model
vNode works through modules. After installation, each vNode module runs for one hour in demo mode. Once the demo period is over, it is possible to get another time to start the module again. To operate in production mode, each module must have a license. There are two types of licenses: remote tag license and central tag license.
Remote tags are generated on the vNode locally, while central tags are generated on other vNodes and received over the vNode secure link. In this way, vNode modules that deal solely with remote tags require only one remote tag license; whereas, modules that deal with core tags received from other vNode modules through a vNode link require a core tag license.

How is vNode licensed?
vNode is licensed per module — you only pay for the protocols and functions you need. There are two license types: Remote (edge/remote nodes) and Central (hub deployments).
Does vNode charge per tag or data point?
No. vNode uses unlimited-tag licensing. There is no limit on the number of tags or variables — you are charged per module, not per data point.
What is the difference between Remote and Central licenses?
Remote licenses are for edge or remote vNode instances. Central licenses are for hub deployments that aggregate data from multiple sources or remote nodes. Current per-module prices are listed in the price list on this page.
Are volume discounts available?
Yes. Discounts range from 10% (10–24 modules) up to 40% (500+ modules).
