vNode works through modules. After installation, each vNode module runs for one hour in demo mode. Once the demo period is over, it is possible to get another time to start the module again. To operate in production mode, each module must have a license. There are two types of licenses: remote tag license and central tag license.

Remote tags are generated on the vNode locally, while central tags are generated on other vNodes and received over the vNode secure link. In this way, vNode modules that deal solely with remote tags require only one remote tag license; whereas, modules that deal with core tags received from other vNode modules through a vNode link require a core tag license.
